Cyanotype 03
Original 8x10 cyanotype in a 12 x16 frame, ready to hang.
This is part of a series exploring perceived value and otherness.
Cyanotypes are a photographic printing process made by exposing paper with a light-sensitizing chemical. The word cyanotype was derived from the Greek work “cyan” which means “dark-blue impression.”
Each print is one of a kind.
Q: Why are these only being sold framed?
A: Art works on paper must be framed to be displayed. For this reason, I wanted you, the collector, to be able to display the work immediately, without the delay of waiting for the framing. Framing also elevates art and makes it look complete.
I chose a handmade solid wood, super high quality frame for this piece to add warmth and balance to the piece.
However, if the framing is what is holding you back, please reach out and let’s see what we can do.
